Biography: 

Jacqueline began her passion for sports at an early age, competing as a swimmer with the Manta Swim Club in Winnipeg for 10 years. She later coached swimming for 4 years following retirement as a swimmer. Jacqueline studied Psychology at the University of Manitoba to obtain a Bachelor of Arts, Honours degree in 2012. Jacqueline completed her masters degree in Sport Sciences (Sport Psychology) at Lund University in the south of Sweden in 2015. She completed her Masters thesis research on the effects of acute psychological stress on performance and associations between salivary cortisol and testosterone and lactate among elite male swimmers in Sweden. She completed a 4 month Sport Psychology internship in the summer and fall of 2014 with the Canadian Sport Centre (CSC-Manitoba) under the supervision of Dr. Adrienne Leslie-Toogood. During this internship she worked independently with the University of Manitoba Bisons Hockey and Bisons Golf Men’s teams and implemented the methods of Biofeedback technology. Jacqueline is currently fulfilling a degree in Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, RCSI (Medical University of Bahrain) and works as a mental performance consultant part time in the Kingdom of Bahrain and in Winnipeg, Canada during the spring and summer months.

 

Additional Training:

Sport Psychology Intensive Course 2014 (in coordination with CONI, National Italian Olympic Committee) - Rome, Italy. Sport Psychology Internship, Canadian Sport Centre (Manitoba) 2014. CSCM IMPACT Camps - introduces athletes from rural Manitoba communities to professional Sport Science training.
